How often do you visit TP?
I visit the forums several times a day when I code or every day when I don't.

As a TP programmer, would you be willing to provide your sources for verification and compiling?
Yes, I'm already doing this. All my tutorials go with both sources and exe files. Although it is possible that I will also release something closed-source.

What could you do or provide to the community if you were accepted?
I'm interested in C++ tutorials mostly. I will be glad to show some know-how. Also I would like to host a full scale project here, long term.

Recommended, like I told Zyphrus yesterday; you're one of the few people who I think deserves a Programmer position more than I deserve my Trial Programmer position because of your knowledge and skill. Of course the position is based on more than just that, but I'll bring you up in the meeting if Zyphrus somehow, mistakenly, overlooks your application.

Few things I noticed right off the bat with your application that didnt strike me as too appealing, but your not kicked out the door just yet .

You say that you will release the sources but there is a chance you will create closed source projects. You realize why that question is asked about allow us to access your source right? If you knew the history of TP and knew the two programmers I'm speaking about directly then you would understand.

There is a lot of trust issues within this line of hobbies. Programming and your code being closed source could result in a lot of catastrophic events. IE: you decide to go and put some sort of keylogger in you cheat. TProgramming takes the fall and the reputation hit for that.. Now; I know you are thinking "I don't ever intend to do that and I never will". <- I've heard this comment twice before. Both of those people fucked me and TProgramming over and we took a huge reputation hit back when it did happen.

This is one of those things I say that makes it hard to pickup someone new right off the bat without a little bit of personality recognition (if you will.) I never know when someone is going to go to the evul side and the beauty of that for the programmer is that no one really ever has to know if it is indeed a closed source project.

This is kind of the same reaso as to why when people are trial programmers, if they want something put up in the verified section it has to be compiled by one of the admins.. I would recommend Dark Pally's. He's one of the guys that has been with me for quite awhile. Same with Veritias. For the sake of time I would say Dark Pally's is who would verify that source in particular. Trust is a big issue with programming and cheats ever since what happened to TProgramming back in the day, which is why we take such drastic measures.

Although however, if you show us that your motivation is not pointed towards that and your here to actually help the community.. learn and grow with us. Then you will probably see more liberties coming your way such as closed-source projects. You have to gain my trust and the trust of my crew before that will ever happen..

I suggest you think long and hard about this because it is a big choice, yes you do have to give your souce out and yes, it is going to ruine some secrets or unique ideas for you. But rest assured if you go with who I say to give sources to you can be rest assured that your ideas will not be stolen. Code verification and safety is key..

And it will stay like that for the times to come..

I realize that, makes perfect sense to me. I'm just saying that it's really hard to trust someone to do that without them having some sort of stature in the community, which comes over time.

I guess I was missunderstood on a few of my phrases in the shoutbox and here. When I told about closed-source software, it wasn't meant to hide anything. I just wanted to say that maybe in the future I will have something I can't show to a wide public, but only to TP staff. Although you would see the sources, the software is closed-source for other people. I think this is how "Verified App" works.

Actually these all are low priority things for me. I don't ask for personal forums or any other special rights. The thing that is important for me is that I really want to take part in the internal discussions, follow future TP projects, meet IM meetings and help the commumity to grow.

Well, I think I understand what you mean, Zyphrus. It's really hard to believe in good if there are so many bad things around us, but do not worry, I'm not a destructive child.
