AS3 intro thread
So, how many have tried AS3? I'm finding it awesome, but a bit difficult as there are such few tutorials for AS3 and a ton for AS2.

Anyone know of any good tutorial sites for AS3?

What's your thoughts about AS3?

I'm an AS1 & AS2 programmer but since AS3 came out I didn't even want to try it.. but definitely it's a good option because you can do more things and easier than before

RE: AS3 intro thread
Yeah, but there is a huge lack of tutorials for AS3, and a ton for AS1 and AS2...It makes it really difficult to learn when there is nothing to learn from. And I really don't want to start with AS2 to learn AS3 since the difference is big..And I feel AS2 will be like VB..once you learn VB it's really difficult to move on to another language...

RE: AS3 intro thread
Well, AS1 and AS2 are someway similar to VB (of course, not the same), and that's also the reason I dont want to learn AS3, because it would be something totally different. And yes, there's a lack of tutorials for AS3 because it's relatively new, but that will change in time. But don't worry, I learned AS after VB, and personally I didn't have any problem at all!

RE: AS3 intro thread
Nice, I am struggling to create a simple news reader, and the variant I want costs dollars, and no tutorials on it -.- Also there are no tutorials on how to implement a freaking scroll bar! It's ridicolous, making me want to perhaps move to AS2..
