Well... Mine can handle most not so new games on a medium graphics level.. Anyone got any suggestions on any semi cheap GFX cards that could support most of the newer games?

This is the one im looking into right now..

I am running a 7900GTX and it performes extremely good. You can run any game on maximum and I think it only costs like 1200NOK

Nividia Geforce 5200 xfx

Its really good, and works all games, and pretty cheap i guess, it would be like 50$ maybe..

I've got a XFX GeForce 7300le (LE = Light Edition) with 256mb memory (512mb if you have over 1gb of ram in your pc, It was £36 and it can run all the newer games on medium settings fine for me, i have got 1.5gb memory and a 2.8ghz cpu, so obviously that will help it, but you should be fine with one of those.

Well I need something thats PCI or AGP.. My MB doesn't support PCI-E :(. Can you use a PCI-E on a normal PCI slot? Or will it just not work? But the XFX GeForce 7300le does look pretty nice for the price. Whats the power requirments?

Well sadly, no, pci-e wont work in a pci slot :( Well im running a 350w psu, and it never gives me any problems, not sure what temperature its running at, but it's always quiet :) That 6800XT looks nice, Just make sure you look into opening the locked pipe's :)

Pffft...

Thats nothing..

Im running XP with 196 Mb's ram

999 Mhz

Some Intel Video Chip that isn't even supported by intel anymore

A harddrive that is so old that the fan in my room has higher RPM..

A PSU that if dropped in water.. Would probley still work

FFS!! IT ACTUALLY TAKES TIME FOR MY COMPUTER TO LOAD SOLITARE!!

So.. Mine > Yours

But back on subject.. How would I unlock the extra pipelines on the 6800xt card I want?

Hahaha funniest post I've ever read. I have a Radeon 9550 that was originally $140, but I paid $70 for it at CompUSA because it had been "opened". No idea how that happened though...

NVidia is one of the best graphics cards out there. I personally love it... But I'm using a crappy graphics card at the moment, but its better than any I have played. Its a 64 MB... Anyways... If you can't get that, then try your best to get a NVidia, or just try and get an extremely good ATI... lol

Thanks

Well, I finally got the card.. My 350 Watt PSU seems to handle it alright xD

The cool thing is..

I was able to unlock ALL the pipelines without any problems and OC it by 150~ Mhz.. My aquamark3D rating went up by an avg of 35 fps!!

You just don't go out and buy any old video card. If you get a good video card and pair it up with a slow processor, the video card will bottleneck the processor and you will not get optimal preformance out of it. Being that you have a AGP slot and a PCI slot, Your best bet is too go with the AGP because its a faster interface and offers a wider selection of video cards and also way more powerfull cards. The best card you can get in AGP is a ATI X1950PRO. The second best is a NVIDA 7800GS. Also, Your processor is horribly slow. I don't know if you already bought the card or what, but that is your best bet. With that current computer you have right now, I'd trash it and go for a Core2Duo Build.
