Missing sections ????

Well in my eyes we need an html/database/PHP section, this has a lot of use in programming and also in tibia, some might have a war Fraggers in a database, an online war search, tools that could be done in PHP with databases, might not be fancy, or super smart however this is a section we should have ?

Just asking i wanted to do a tutorial introducing databases, timers, locks, I think I'm not the only 1 that is surfing for this kind of tutorials, and since it is related to "bots" that's something in my eyes that we should have ?

Also some of the BBcode is missing, I would love to update the forum, that's something I'm good at, and love doing, however I have my differences with Darkstar and I understand most of you won't let me touch it, just a heads up of missing stuff that can be done in minutes ?


Also we need new staff members that will contribute to the forum, deleting spam, and so on, I'm not going to sign in for the job, because of the differences between some mods and myself, or admin, we should be apart, but the forum does need new people to keep it alive, TPForums have been online for a lot of time and most of the "crew" is not active or it barely does anything such as : Tutorials , Deleting Spam, Closing threads, Checking Programs, and so on. Some do have an RL life and better things to do, but theres alot of people that if you open a section might be willing to do so.

A web development board would be a good idea, considering.

A programming tutorial on anything would be useful. Even if it's something as simple as for loops, if statements, etc. You're more than welcome to make tutorials like the ones you mentioned.

It's not that they won't let "you" touch it, it's that they won't let just anyone do it. We have four people with access to that, as far as I know, (DarkstaR, Dark Pallys, Ian, and Zyphrus). I'm sure one of them will get around to it as soon as possible.

There are plenty enough staff members to take care of spam. Staff members aren't the only ones who can contribute to the forum, any member can. Sources can be verified by any admin or programmer, but we don't get any requests for it anymore. If/when the forum does pick up and we need more staff to take care of it, then we'll look in to promoting, but as of right now we're good with who we have.

Well in that case, should i post database under tutorials ? or wait for the new section if its coming, i don't think is a lot of work to just open 1, however im still doing the pixel reading stuff, also im giving the proyect so any1 can check it out, i had an issue before cant remember when but some1 said that i cant post .rar file sunless some1 checks them, just checking up if thats going on still or if im guetting a free pass, kuz im not saving the files and i doubt ill re-upload them, also book pages like the ones im posting in my tutorial, might not be so important for some but you should consider a file upload, for such pages, in case that some1 refers to "x" book, thats nothing online about it, imageshack is almost full and they delete the unused account, so thats another doubt i got

Post it under tutorials and we can move it to the correct section in the future if need be. You can post .rar files, they're considered "download at your own risk".

I think you should consider yourself lucky you didn't get banned for illegally distributing copies of someone elses paid work. It's bad enough that you'd suggest someone should download it, but attempting to publish it in any form is highly illegal and could drag the admins, as well as yourself, into a giant legal battle. I'm talking about this book which you decided to scan & post pictures of, and now I'm assuming are also offering to distribute in the form of an e-book or something?

I do, however, reluctantly agree with the suggestion of a web development section, with subforums Tutorials, Support, General. Or at the very least a subforum in the Programmers Lounge with some subforums.
